Abstract   Customer’s satisfaction is growing concern among Indian businesses. The consumer with higher education, information and awareness demands better value for money. Retaining current customers and winning future customers is becoming increasingly tough task for Indian marketers. Today the customers is considered a king and his buying behavior has become the focal point of attention of the business world. Globalized companies are facing stiff competition and they have to develop products and strategies not only to develop products but strategies to attract customers also. Companies have to find means to increase their market share and profit. The technology like internet has helped customers to know more about the companies and their products. Companies have developed and implemented consumer centric strategies and made sure they involve not only the customer in the process but also the various stock holders, so that they can meet the customer’s expectations effectively. This is done through identifying customers’ needs and measuring consumers satisfaction. Focussing on customers’ needs the companies try to develope goodwill with which customers will identify. The next task is to retain them and making them come back to the company again and again. The best way to do this is by keeping in touch with them constantly.
